Two
connected cave rooms with beautiful views which are perfect for accommodating a family, but also nice for two people with more spatial need or separate beds.
Once used as a bakery and stable in historic times, these rooms are one of our nicest rooms in terms of cave character and views. In the double bed room there used to be a huge round 'tandi' fireplace in the ground where the old inhabitants used to make the so called 'yufka' flatbread on convex pans or 'pide' bread on the hot interior clay walls. The smoke of the open fire used to pass a high opening in the cave room.
The attached room once used to be a stable and you can still see the troughs hewn out the wall including the heavily used eyes to tie up the animals. A bigger hole in the ceiling once used as a connection tunnel to the upper rooms, which used to function as a winery so the pomace could be recycled directly within the lower stables. On demand the lower Aladdin2 rooms can still be interconnected with the upper 'kale' rooms using a ladder. Perfect for two families with bigger kids so they can visit each other interiorly.
The double bed room was the first cave room which the present owner Andus Emge used as a provisory 'base camp' during his first year after purchasing the place in 1998. Years later he again used this now restored room as his workroom. Now it functions as a cozy little suite room for our guests with under floor and even wall-radiation heating for the cooler periods.
